Does not mean I would spend the 2.7M even if I had the money, but definitely improves FM's image at least to my eyes, as I had the feeling that their super high-end productions were just CAD images, but the fact that they also do them "in the flesh" is an additional step, stunning

Looking at the most expensive watches listed on Chrono24, this Franck Muller is near the top at $3 million.... ...

I didn't even bother trying to figure what complications were on this

After looking at the dial for about 5 seconds, my brain started to hurt

Browsing FM's watches...

No coffee complications, but believe it or not there is one that doubles as a bitcoin wallet! www.franckmuller.com

It is easy to make fun of this one because of all the crap that FM makes.

 By: als1678 : November 20th, 2020-16:42
But it is a super impressive complication. From watchmaking perspective there are 2-3 watches that can stand against it.

TBH I know little about the brand but would love to learn more

My understanding is that the main complaint with FM is the entry level pieces are perhaps overpriced considering the movements used? I do think that some of their watches like the skeleton Vanguard are very attractive!

I can try to say a few things but it is a huge topic ...

www.hautehorlogerie.org Franck Muller, the watchmaker, was one of the most tallented ones of modern times. A master of complications, non lesser than giants like Dufour or Journe. His early watches are masterpieces. Then money and profit margins a...

And if it’s easy to break something at all

Thnx

Actually it would be interesting the list the comlplications, because honestly it is not that easy...

From what I observed, I noticed: - Tourbillon (ok that was easy ) - At noon there is a Quantième and month retrograde (for a 2nd time zone ?) - Sonnerie & Silence (at 11o'clock) with power reserve of the sonnerie. Is it a sonnerie au passage ? - At 1 ther...

This article has some good info on the complications and pushers:

I pity the owner that forgets to wind this watch...

The “instruction manual” is probably a watchmaker permanently indentured to the watch!!!😆

I was never fan of FM aesthetics...

 By: edo.k : November 21st, 2020-02:59
but the guy was one of the best watchmakers of our time... it's a loss he is not envolved in watchmaking part of his/any brand anymore...

RM and FM

 By: Weems@8 : November 21st, 2020-03:16
The most expensive at ch24. The first time i see RM is not always the most expensive. Comparing, the tonneau case and price did it.

hahaha

Great reply Jl. 😄. that jacobs are not mothers best. That multi time frankensteins are so ugly, i went my head away. The FM you post is far more a beter watch than a jacob. RM did also a nice job making real master pieces. And the king of kings, the might...
