A little nostalgia. Stamped but beautiful nevertheless! Chronoswiss Delphis from the 90’s.

This was one of the first watches that got me hooked on this hobby of ours. Beautiful dial design and movement by Enicar. 🥂🥂 ...

I believe he is stating that the guilloche pattern on the Delphis dial is mechanically stamped versus being cut on a rose engine.

The dial; stamped instead of hand done.

Everything is in your title. Yes, nostalgia and beauty. And originality, too.

Much 'guillochage' is stamped. Few makers say so. Unusually, Blancpain does. Others, who use 'real' guillochage, often contract this work to specialists. Standard Swiss practice. The same is true of engraving on expensive shotguns elsewhere..

When Gerd was at the helm, for better or worse, CS was something really different.

This was a world before MB&F and De Bethune. Seeing something like this was amazing. Like you, this watch had a profound impact on me as a watch enthusiast.

Absolutely, many years ago, seeing it just blew me away with its unique time display, superb dial and case, and just a cool looking movement. The rotor on this movement is one of the slickest I’ve seen.

Ah yes, the good old days with Chronoswiss. Loved them back in the day and most do not know that they started the whole exhibitiion case back in wrist watches 😉
