This is a superb piece of horological and micro-mechanical engineering! On top of that, the watch actually looks great - both the dial and the movement.

Have you seen the previous Krayon Everywhere? In terms of mechanics it trumps even this one, although this Anywhere is a clear winner in terms of legibility and wearability.

Krayon Anywhere

I just saw review of this and I think I have a new grail.... Photos from Monochrome: I think I love everything about this watch. The sunrise/sunset complication is very innovative and it adds a lot visually on the dial. The guilloche, hour markers, hands...

Blue, black, and brown would all look great!

For more blue, there's also the white gold version: ...

I only discovered this brand today!

The Everywhere is amazing technically, but I'd much prefer the Anywhere for the aesthetics, size, and price. Really an incredible watch that seems to check off every box for what I'd want in a ultra high-end time piece. And the price seems quite reasonabl...

But the price..... [nt]

It's not an inexpensive piece

 By: jleno : July 8th, 2020-21:55
But considering the finishing and complication, I think it's a relative bargain. If a watch like this came from a more established name, I suspect the price would easily be more than double what it's retail currently is.

I agree

I though opted for the cheap version 😀 / Br, Dirk

Very good looking and interesting watches.

Certainly a discovery for me.

Beautiful [nt]

Hope to see it in person one day

I was just reading up about this

The anywhere is truly spectacular, a lovely watch, the everywhere is a marvel

Amazingly beautiful watches!

They're technically and visually stunning, IMO. The steel and gold versions are both really well done. Grail worthy for me as well.

Just to pick on some stuff.... :)

The programmable latitude range is limited, I'm guessing to +/- 60 degrees like the Everywhere seems to be. Also, daylight savings time is going to throw off the Anywhere for half the year.

+1! (nt)

When you go up north (or south) far enough, the sun does not set in the summer or rise in the winter, so 'sunset' and 'sunrise' times are not defined for parts of the year. ;-)

Probably presents real issues for a mechanical implementation. I'd assume the main reason behind the latitude restriction is related to this.

Ideally, the watch would show 100% day or night

 By: jleno : July 15th, 2020-16:35
But you can see that with the way the day/night disks are implemented, you can never have less than 6 hours of either being shown. I'm assuming there's probably not a good way to make a similar round display that doesn't have this issue. Regardless, it lo...

Lumed stars, how cool! Love that.

Although I'm not an expert on the mechanics, this is kinda interesting topic, in a watch-geeky way. I could not find a picture with the dial side mechanism exposed, but it looks like there are a total of four disks - two for day and two for night. Notwith...

I'm pretty sure it's just two, both colored with the top half in day and the bottom half in night

 By: jleno : July 16th, 2020-21:26
The left one is on top of the right, so it never gets covered. I'm assuming It might be possible to get full day/night if the display was a semi circle. Then you could have two quarter discs that completely open/close over it. Alternatively, just using tw...

Congrats!

A truly magnificent piece!

You don’t own it YET 😉

😜

Indeed it is!

A light wallet is the only thing holding me back. But I would definitely consider choosing something like this over a Vingt-8.

Sounds like you are doomed. (nt)
