At this point, I think a few of you already know my problems with Parmigiani even though I adore the brand and have done so since the early 2000s.
This Ionica was sent to Parmigiani for service 9 months ago and I finally got it back yesterday. LONG STORY but to make it short, there was a friend from the UK and fellow WPS member who had the SAME model serviced in less than 1/3 of the time. Why? Who knows? π€¦ββοΈ
I was thinking of smashing this into a thousand pieces but MAYBE, just MAYBE Parmigiani redeemed themselves π€·π»ββοΈ
Christophe (director of Parmigiani salon in Paris) and his colleague were VERY apologetic, shameful of me to forget her name πͺ
Servicing was + 2.500 euros as it needed a NEW gold buckle as well.
Guess what ?
They OFFERED me the servicing for FREE π€·π»ββοΈπ³
That was really a surprise so even though it took FOREVER and wasn't their personal fault, they assumed responsibility for the brand and took it upon the salon to give me a grace for the servicing.
Commendable action I have to admit so who knows π€·π»ββοΈ. I have had literally hundreds of watches serviced over 31 years of collecting passion and I cannot think of another time a boutique / salon has done this so that does say a lot.
There were a couple brands themselves who have done similar gestures but the scenarios were completely different, namely Chopard who are the ABSOLUTE BEST in my humble opinion !!
Ever heard of a brand offering a complete grace and gesture for a servicing of 19.000 euros cost / + 20.000 euros retail to the customer? Guess what? Chopard did this due to the utter CLASS of KFS, bravo ππ
I will have to recalibrate my ANXIETY for PF and maybe a second chance is in order π€·π»ββοΈπ€¦π»ββοΈ
