No-Date....i never had doubt on this since my first watch !

I do agree, few watch makers design 'date' function more eloquently than most others (sadly)...
few examples i can think of are,
1) Big Date in Dato / Saxonia Date - a layout / dial design that clearly emphasize on this function & really brings an aesthetically pleasing outcome
2) Novel way of Date display - Zietwerk Date, it is an intelligent way of date function, also very consistent with the jump format of the time
3) 'Lazy thought out date' , here i think of AP RO mostly - though the 'date' window is obtrusive, breaks the texture / symmetry of the dial it is managed by at least having the same color scheme (where 5711 bleu lacks)
when we're in an era where watches is not the primary source of 'time' - it make sense that watches are neither the source of 'date'...
on the other hand, if i don't remember which day/date i'm in, whatever be the time - it doesn't matter ;-)
Best,
mahesh.,
