Parmigiani Fleurier Tonda Metrographe

Dear all,

Today, I choose to highlight the Tonda 1950 Metrographe, one that I prefer for its design resolutely urban, sporty and elegant.

This watch is equipped with caliber PF315, an automatic winding chronograph movement, precise and reliable, whose autonomy is 42 hours. The stainless steel case has a dimension of 40 mm and a thickness of 11.7 mm. Regarding the finishes of the caliber, we find the faithful standards of Parmigiani Fleurier, bridges angled by hand and “Côtes de Genève” decoration.

On the dial, we can see the display of hours, minutes and seconds, and the date. In addition, the functions of the chronograph (tachymeter scale, hours and minutes counters, and large central second). If you look really closely, the chronograph counters form an "8". The symbol of eternity ! Moreover, it became an identity sign of Parmigiani Fleurier chronographs.

The dial is hand worked to reflect an impression of volume and contrast. In my opinion, its colors, (silver or black oxidized) highlight the grace of this watch. Which one do you prefer ? Note that the bracelets are leather or titanium/steel. To choose !

Finally, the profile of this watch is also interesting, with its drop-shaped elongated lugs, a hallmark of Parmigiani Fleurier, found throughout all the watches.

We can say that this watch is both traditional and classic but also modern by its curves and shapes. A perfect combination that makes all the charm of this watch !

Thank you for reading this new post, I hope you enjoyed !

What you've shown us would make a nice two-watch collection. However, I think you have a few more up your sleeve, so to speak. Excellent report once again, Elo5. Looking forward to more.

Thanks for your review of the Metrographe!

An appealing watch for sure and it is unfortunate that PF perhaps gets respect for its undoubted prowess but not that much love. Hope you can help in that respect - looking forward to more reviews

Thank you for this second fantastic review...

I like the '8' shape which aptly frames the functional entitiy of the chronograph counters. Great you pointed that out - I missed than initially. I alsos like the way Parmigiani applied the 'Geneva' stripes. Do you know how they manage to have enlarging s...
