Honest opinion - I like it

I do not love it.

While 15 pieces is obviously very exclusive, I never let that factor into a buying decision.  For example, I own a Panerai PAM372, and there must be many thousands of those floating around.  But I love the watch and could care less that it exists so many times over.

On this particular Parmigiani, I emphatically dislike the jeweler name on the dial.  Adds symmetry, yes, I accept that point, but I don't like the dealer name so front and center.  That is a deal breaker for me having interest.  But if that detail does not bother you, I see the rest of the watch as very cool, with pleasing and unique colors.

Parmigiani stainless steel special edition. Hello all, I saw this SE brown dial stainless steel Parmigiani Watch and have one reserved out of 15 only. There was an article about it in Watchtime and honestly the reviews to that article were more negative t...

Thank you Michael, that’s what it said on watch time as well…

As India whiskey Charlie said, those things seem to stand out in pictures a lot. In fact that’s how I bought my Patek Philippe 5740 with the 1976-2016 on the dial turning people off in the introduction pictures but really being very insignificant… Jim ...

Love the aesthetic and design, hate the double branding.

If they hadn't done both the Oliver Smith logo AND the name maybe but that's just too much imho. It's trying too hard. That said, things like that tend to stand out more in pictures though than irl so if it doesn't bother you much and you like the design ...

Agreed

I do agree with you on the branding

 By: GreatPilot@me.com : December 27th, 2021-23:11
But at least people are agreeing with me on the aesthetics, it is hard to find a very nice brown dial. Thank you so much for the help… Jim

A question for you …

 By: Cpt Scarlet : December 27th, 2021-22:44
Ask yourself, is this watch a distraction from where you are really trying to go with your collection, if so pass on it 🤔

That’s a damn fine question Captain Scarlet!

 By: GreatPilot@me.com : December 27th, 2021-23:13
And one I guarantee you I will ask myself every time I buy a watch from now on… I have a Kari coming maybe I’ll make that dial brown?… Jim

Part of the pleasure …

are the distractions on route, but ultimately they delay arriving at your final destination 😎

I’ve been using it for going on two years now and there are absolutely no problems with it. It has really reduced my spam inbox and one push of a button I can completely erase the history every time I search. #NoGoogleForMe…Jim

The color scheme is fairly unique. I love a brown, warm tone dial. I had called VC Concierge to get a brown overseas a few years ago , but they weren't making and none in stock (this is quite the problem I've had with VC having stuff on their website they...

Thanks Carfan, I have a 992 so we are in the same club!

Your comments are very pertinent, pluses and minuses of this watch are pretty clear. I’m going to call them soon to see if I can possibly get the watch and have the option to give it back. If it doesn’t fit in my collection I don’t want it… Jim

Thank you watchlover78!

I’m going to try to have them send it to me so I can see it before I commit… Jim

In these cases, with a really limited number of watches, the question is simpler in my opinion.

If you really like it, and paying retail for it is OK and not an irresponsible thing to do, then buy it. It’s unlikely it will come around again or show up a some dealer. I had a similar decision to make earlier this year, a special edition of a watch pro...

Perfect input Jay and very logical… Jim

And I'm hardly objective. For me the big question is/was: Do you love it? I am definitely not a believer in watches as “investments” (good thing!) so the limited aspect holds little water with me. As far as the double branding goes foe me, a Tiffany or ot...

Hi Kent thank you so much.

I tried to get the chronograph but it was already gone, the branding isn’t so obvious on that watch as it’s in the 6 o’clock sub dial. Congratulations to you I think it is a gorgeous watch… Jim

Thank you!

I agree with you, Oliver Smith has one saved for me but I didn’t connect today. Thinking about my collection I don’t have a brown dial watch, I have salmon, burgundy, white, blue, black, grey, red etc. my new litmus test on Watches is will it fit in my co...

I bought the Oliver Smith/Parmigani brow dial!

I ended up having a very nice conversation with Mr. Smith himself and was able to trade a watch I no longer wear. I believe this Brown dial beauty will fit just fine in my collection and something that I will wear often. Thank you all for your help, espec...

PF invests a lot of time and energy with its retail network. It’s such a small company with just 80 employees a strong collaborative network makes sense. A double-signed dial with the two names at par is therefore an illustration of PF’s general philosoph...

I like the watch and got rid of another one, it will fit nicely into my collection with the beautiful brown dial. I also really like your version but I have my share of blue dials…Jim

(it's a black dial :)

Well on my iPad it is defiantly blue :-)…

Hi again. Thanks. Just a quick clarification…

I think I mentioned above that the reason the black dial does indeed appear blue at times is because the crystal doesn’t have as much anti-reflective coating as it could. People made this observation when it was released, though it hasn’t really been a bo...

Multiple looks and facets is a great thing. I don’t know what kind of antireflective coating mine has but the color of the brown dial definitely stays consistent, in addition the price is $17,000 and the fact I was able to trade in a watch I don’t wear an...
