Enamel dial, Swiss movement, heat blued hands...
De Jong Watches.

(Disclaimer: I have NO involvement or financial interest with this project or maker. I personally backed this project for the white dial version).

Something on a mopet. With kickstarter i am impressed at the start. After the smoke cleared i loose so fast interrest that i forget it faster than a comet. On the other hand i have sorrow with them. A dream, a passion, they work so hard and it is almost r...

But some have parlayed that initial Kickstarter effort into a real brand....

I am specifically thinking of Baltic. They seem to be doing a good job, numerous models, a very well received dive watch. I’ve met the founders in person and they seemed like passionate and driven guys. Why go to Tissot or Oris when you can make your own ...

Any view on the latest Baltic x Worn and Wound?

I like the design, and the warm copper dial. Seems like a fun brand with a bit of quality and substance (hopefully). All the best, Niall

Was interested until I find out the height..

15mm is too tall for most watches, let alone a dressy piece

Hi I was just looking at the specs

On Kickstarter to find out that the case height is advertised to be 11.5 mm including the sapphire crystal which is ok IMHO.

They dmed me this info on ig

Perhaps it is misquoted. Anyhow, still not a big fan of such tall pieces especially on my small wrist

The height is 11.5mm

Hi JTCL, I don't know where you got your 15mm thickness, but on the KS page, the watch is stated twice with a thickness of 11.5mm, which is quite common (unless you are used to thin watches).

I think it's difficult to beat Kickstarter on this

Hi Ronald, Unless you have very deep pockets, it's quite difficult to start a watch brand (or any brand, in fact). You have to get public interest, you have to invest $$$$ to start producing watches (or any other gizmo), hoping that it will find customers...

I hope my friend (R de Jong its a good friend of me )will make his deadline . Its a great looking watch for a very reasonable price imho
