Moritz Grossmann Hamatic Vintage

This limited edition (in white gold of 25 pieces) combines an attractive dial with an impressive and much talked-about movement.
The caliber 106.0 features a large, egg-shaped pendulum that swings back and forth and connected to a pair of pawls and wheels with the center of gravity deliberately positioned far away from the pivot to create winding efficiency. As a result, a mere 5-degree turn is enough to set the mainspring in motion.
The bridges are made of hand-engraved German silver, with jewels set in screwed chatons and fine anglage everywhere.
The dial is modeled after century-old pocket watches, including a retreat to the 1875 Grossmann logo, avoiding criticism caused by the modern logo that looks somewhat out of place with the regular Hamatic production.
The case measures 41mm by 11:35mm. The steel hands are hand-made and amazingly thin - it is a mere 0.1mm wide at the slimmest point. The watch has a power reserve of 72 hours when fully wound.
Here are some pictures (mostly on the movement) taken by my friend, the pro.
