the best finished German brand out there with competition only from Lang & Heyne. I must confess that I do like the big balance wheel in the Vingt 8.

It is arguably the most complete 3 handed watch around and I say that even taking into account Rexhep Rexhepi's Chronometre Contemporain, the Charles Frodsham and the RW Smith Series 1. A perfect combination of a sublime bespoke dial, an exquisite movemen... 

I had considered one. But now it is a choice between a RW Smith Series 2 and a Vingt 8 and I have ordered the former. If I find the 13mm high RW Smith too unwearable, the VIngt 8 in titanium and bespoke in 37mm would be my next choice.

the purchase is dependent on my selling my London flat which remains unsold (thanks Brexit!) for 30 months. Roger has been patient with me as I had placed my order 3 years ago. Not many here would sell a flat to buy a watch. I am beyond redemption!!

A quick trip to Macau and a few hands of Baccarat could get you both the Series 2 and Vingt-8. Just throwing ideas out there

Like the clear sapphires, violet screws, wide striping, etc. Makes their movements stand out among the other German brands.

I think the styles are very different. But I agree the quality is incredible for both!

The half plate architecture, the black polished crown wheel, multi-finished ratchet wheel, the two cocks on the left. But of course they have some significant differences between them as well. Most notably Kari's perfect anglage vs. MG's engravings.
