Just some of the highlights of 2019 (both incoming and outgoing pieces).

Dec 28, 2019,13:07 PM

What a crazy fun year 2019 has been on the horology front!
Have been fortunate to handle and own pieces from some of the most incredibly talented independent watchmakers!
I am very humbled by their talent and dedication.

I really feel like my collecting has matured and become more focused this year! Next year - hopefully will consolidate some more.

Happy New Year to all!

That is a wonderful lineup for the year! You are certainly flirting with the virtues of classic horology.

I love how you have found โ€œyour thingโ€. That is very rewarding and takes a lot of work (trial and errors + study + travel) Something we should all strive for in our own way, although it is probably also a moving target. I just learned about Laine. I need ...

Just saw a few Laines in the metal a week ago . . .

. . . and impressed by their finishing. They may well be a highlight of your New Year, Christian. ;-)

Cheers!

Laine pieces are indeed gorgeous

A reliable secondary indicator of finish quality . . .

. . . can be gleaned by Tim Jackson's portfolio. If he's representing a manufacturer, you can bet the house it's quality. ...

Very true!

I got to meet Tim in person this year in London! Great guy with encyclopaedic knowledge of the indies.

Is TJ located in UK or US?

 By: ChristianDK : December 29th, 2019-13:19
I think he is British?

Thank you ๐Ÿ™ ๐Ÿ˜Š [nt]

 By: ChristianDK : December 29th, 2019-13:43

I thought Tim was originally from South Africa . . .

 By: Dr No : December 29th, 2019-14:37
. . . but you may well be right, Bounce. Art

Zimbabwe? Or, as I'm still bound to say, . . .

 By: Dr No : December 29th, 2019-14:43
. . . Rhodesia? Force of habit, Rhodesia ;-) . . .

England, maybe? ;) [nt]

This seems very catchy. Does anyone know what price range we are in? The one with the big moon is probably my favorite so far. Still lots to discover. I will have to brush up my Finnish ๐Ÿ‡ซ๐Ÿ‡ฎ

Thanks Christian!

Letโ€™s put you on the spot a little; if you had to pick one highlight what would it be?

Ohh thatโ€™s tough.

 By: Bounce781 : December 29th, 2019-13:12
Probably Pascal Coyon - but thatโ€™s just this minute. If you ask me in a few minutes - I would probably change my mind. These are all gorgeous

What a great collection!

A perfect showcase of the amazing pieces that can be found when one is willing to go a bit "off the map" to look for them!

Thank you, jleno!
