It's a casual or relaxed watch, not a sports watch

Would you take a Nautilus into the water? You can, but most people won't. Will you take off the Nautilus to scrub a pot? Probably not. To me, that is a casual or relaxed watch.
The Fifty Fathoms is sportier than this watch, bigger, thicker and with a bezel. You might take that one in the water. Who can forget the Blancpain Fifty Fathoms Tourbillon, with the signature carousel? To me, that was a step too far. Some people will just say, "Let the market decide."
Anyways, this Laurent Ferrier is the for the person who wants the very finest in mechanical watchmaking, but they want it packaged inside a relaxed watch they can wear to the supermarket on the weekend. Even if it costs as much as a small cottage, sometimes you want something you don't have to take off while scrubbing a pot. It's a relaxed watch with a serious movement, which is fine by me.

I really don’t understand putting a tourbillon in a steel sports watch

but on both sides of the case this does look fabulous ...

It really is!

The former version from past year. ...

I like this version better...

...the color is unusual. I also like the ‘just because’ attitude of this watch. Wish it were a bit smaller but I can’t afford it anyway : )

It looks great but somehow sports watch and tourbillion don’t add up in my view

Agree [nt]

I agree and ....

I’m not fond of the lume colour.

Ah...

Yes.

I agree and hope LF offers the watch in a non-tourbillion.

The metalworking on the case and bracelet is exceptional imo. M4

plus 1 times 10

I’ve been waiting for that since they launched it. Who can shake up Laurent here? 🤔I wonder

Haha! [nt]

I kinda like it. Strikes me as . . .

. . . sensible. For a tourbillon. Wouldn't buy one even if I could, but that's another matter altogether.

I hope this comment does not offend...

LF are brilliant and beautiful watches... but rarely worth the cost.. in terms of resale... but just on a visual level... I love this bracelet and case combo... it is beautiful and excellent! get where I am coming from?

You're right.

But putting aside the sticker shock, and loss of value once it's "off the lot" this, and most LFs, are gorgeous watches. I don't see the point in the tourbillon; though putting it on the movement side I think is the right way to go.

Would love to see one without a Tourbillon too .

Think it will be the next step

among the many bracelet offers in recent times - this is the best IMHO

i also think the clasp is very well done, it is a hidden one similar to 'president' bracelets... i believe soon there will be a 'non-tourbillon' version that will follow ! Best, mahesh.,
