I wonder how the Joker and my piece below have impacted Chaykin’s profile and overall business. No question these pieces brought attention but I wonder if there has been a material impact in demand for other pieces or his clocks as a result of this series...

Good point, I think this is always an interesting open problem to study for a brand: to which extent does the success (or lack thereof!) of a model affect/trickle down to the rest of the offering?

As I leave this answer to the KC experts, let me congratulate you on a great-looking piece...easily one of the most attractive KC around!👍

In part many of the watches, the Joker and Clown and those variants included, have a limited audience.

For example the Russian Time, Decalogue or Hijra would have very specific buyers, so it’s hard to gauge. I really like the style of the Lunokhod but I think it’d be a monster on my wrist for sure.

The Lunokhod is indeed a amazing but very large watch

I like the Carpe diem a lot and the Cinema (also a bit to big)

That was me.

I passed on the Joker originally as I thought it wouldn’t fit. Then I got to see one in person and was happily surprised.

How thick is it?

13.7mm. So a little thick. But its well balanced, and it doesn’t feel thick or chunky on the wrist.

Bezel, case shape allow it to wear well (visually).

I agree, but it’s odd that would be true on this forum. Chaykin has been a member of AHCI since 2010. Long before these watches.

For me, it was the Cinema Watch in 2013 when I first heard of him or perhaps it was the first time I saw something that made me look further.

Like the Nautilus! Oops :)
