Heat blued numerals

I’ve never seen heat blued hand engraved numerals on a chapter ring before.  If anyone knows of other examples, please share! I love the way they look and match the hands.

I believe Marco Lang used a similar technique for his movement on his new watch.

That is really cool, do they blue the entire dial and then grind over the top leaving the recessed hands blued?

The numerals are first hand-engraved into the chapter ring.

The entire chapter ring is then heat blued. Subsequently, the chapter ring is brushed, and all of the blued steel is removed EXCEPT for the hand engraved numerals, which are recessed below the superficial surface of the ring, and therefore are not in cont...
