Confirmation from Philippe Wurtz :
Mr David Walter is not member nor candidate of the AHCI.
This being said, it is my feeling that he could be one as his work is impressive and his approach of horology (as it can be analyzed considering his interviews on the matter) is 100 % consistant with the one of the AHCI.
I guess applying is not that easy for Mr David Walter as the AHCI rules require that a candidate exhibit for three sessions with the AHCI in Baselword prior to be definitely admitted within the Academie.
For a clockmaker, it is much more difficult and costly to organize than for a watchmaker, just because a clock is not as transportable as a collection of watches.
