Had some down time in New York and went there in a desperate hope of finding a grail watch that they once offered as a limited edition, but the Moritz Grossmann with the green Voutilainen is long gone…
Anyway, they had two watches there I’m super in love with.
One of the great pleasures in life is winding a Ferdinand Berthoud FB 2, with its fusee-and-chain movement ending in a tourbillon. The feel and the sound is worth the investment. Additional plus is that in platinum it is so big and heavy you also get a full workout when wearing it. Fortunately I’m big and could do it.
Equally cool, and suddenly way up my Want List, is the Krayon Anywhere. I’d need to send it back to have it reset to my favorite city (Berlin, duh…) but at 39mm and thin it’s quite the little elegant tool.
Anyway, this is the only forum I know that would share my fascination with 😎
The IWC is what I’m wearing today. Got a dark gray Nubuck strap from Jean Rousseau, my NY time is well spent.
