Beautiful work!

Thank you for sharing these excellent photographs. For this type of watch, I find I am appreciative of the thick aspect ratio, together with the domed sapphire. A sense of robustness is bred into the design.
The way it sits on your wrist looks a bit odd, given the modest diameter. Perhaps the owner could adjust the lug shape angle and curvature to match their wrist?
I “discovered” Theo Auffret’s work through Instagram a few months back. In fact, I’ve been very surprised at the number of independent watchmakers I’ve discovered on this platform. The workshop and watchmaking-focused independent Instagram accounts are the refreshing flip side to the more numerous “look at my bling” pages.
I remember reading up on Jean-Baptiste Viot in 2012. Is he still producing his series watch, the Chronomètre? It’s of those watches I’d love to see in the metal, but probably never will. Regardless, I hope to hear and learn more of French independent watchmaking. I’m liking the style and the standard of execution is quite high.

I was a little bit scared that it was going to be too big for my taste, I'm happy I was wrong. If I could, I would buy it, that's how much I like it. I'd ask for some small changes though. Thanks for sharing. Vte

It is those small details, that makes me love this watch (and I’ve always been a fan of asymmetric designs). It is a pity, for me, that this price range is so out of my reach. And even if it were at my reach, I don’t think I could justify to myself spendi...
Very true

On both accounts. There’s some wealth around and collectors willing to use it for pieces as beautiful as this. Thankfully that is the case, as otherwise we would never see watches like this being crafted.
Perhaps a pale violet on the hands would work?

I had a Chronoswiss with these hands. Or the grey-blue at right below in SJX’s assortment photo: Or the experimental Ming buckles? My pocket watch hand assortment has lots of color options. Cazalea ...

This looks like early prototype of Journe tourbillon

and also a reminiscent of Jean Baptise-Voit's chronometre. Maybe this is the French style . Very old world charm, I like. But as a new watchmaker, why make this tourbillon when it is not exactly very special, with no remontoir or anything new. Maybe I'm m...
