A new version(s) of Ophion's 786 - the “Velor” - just released, and I've ordered one :)

As a first glance, i was reminded of Voutilainen, and was delighted to find out that the case is made by Voutilainen-Cattin SA. So that’s pretty cool!

I immediately loved the CNC guilloché dial, salmon dial and applied blued Breguet numerals. The case shape, and teardrop lugs sealed it for me - along with Miguel’s total enthusiasm! What a great guy, I must say.

Size is good: 39mm x 10.45mm. Only very slightly taller than my OPH786, which I love.

Movement by Soprod, to Ophion’s specs, bridges are decorated with hand frosting. 5-day power reserve should also be good, and works great on my existing model. Hand-wound.

I’m really looking forward to having it on my wrist (end of year or beginning of next 🤞)!

However I wish they offer a plain white or silver dial, will look great with blue Breguet hands and numerals. Thanks for sharing

With the old model gray granular dial, Roman numeral chapter ring and obsevatory hands in the new case, figured I'll get the best of both worlds. Miguel has been pleasant to work with.

No render but he did send a few pictures for the case and strap combination. Miguel also mentioned my watch will be completed sooner because they won't have to wait for the new dial ...

Love that Kari case and that stunning Salmon dial . Wish I could see it in person first

I am really impressed with the OPH786 I got last year, so made the decision easier. Especially considering the case and dial as you noted. My view would of course be to go for it Can’t say I’m unbiased though I’ve had the pleasure of meeting Miguel from O...
