and for others as well. But I am not so sure if they were used as one would use a chrono. The Heuers while even smaller at 36 have higher contrast dials as far as I recall. Not that it really matters; it has been a long time since I've used a chronograph to measure anything that required great precision.

KURONO are the Japan-made watches designed by independent Japanese watchmaker Hajime Asaoka and have recently produced beautiful timepieces that share many design details of Hajime's exclusive handmade atelier watches. I have been fortunate to see one of ...

Just saw this on Instagram.

Whatโ€™s the movement?

Mayota most probably

in order to keep it all-Japanese.

Itโ€™s nice to know that Miyota does column wheel chronographs

Excerpt from Kurono Tokyo website: For the Chronograph 2, Hajime chose the mechanical chronograph caliber NE86A from one of Japan's most esteemed movement manufacturers - positioned by them as its newest flagship chronograph movement and successor to the ...

NE86A is a seiko movement, not Miyota, as per my cursory Google search.

One website has it running at -15 to +25 seconds per day at 23 degrees Celsius.

Looks promising. The DNA is clear.

I really like that dial . Great watch .

I completely agree with you.

 By: Cpt Scarlet : February 9th, 2021-07:08

That's a heckuva nice watch.

I love the colors of the dial. Even the date doesn't bother me. Thanks for the photos. M4

I feel that the design has been well conceived ...

Especially as it has many elements within the dial.

I got that email from them

 By: batholith : February 9th, 2021-10:22
stating when they'll start taking orders. Looks great and is very tempting but I'm not so sure about the legibility of a 38mm chrono.

Good point but ...

Itโ€™s worked in the past for Patek Philippe amongst others.

Yes

True

 By: batholith : February 9th, 2021-21:35
with a high contrast dial it could work. But then again, I'm not sure it really matters as we just don't use wrist worn chronos for precise measurements anymore.

Good luck ๐Ÿคž
