Explanation is often easy: First shot was a series of 50, afterwards came the regular unlimited model... 😉

This seems to be a long shot for a brand that has won some awards recently, but: I've come across a buying opportunity for a very early LM model, which seems to be referred to as the Adonis (duograph?..). This is the only official reference picture I coul...

Do you mean I should ask LM directly?

Do they even answer to random people looking at auction sites?.. isn't that a bit of a stretch. I am just surprised that, for an "illustrious" brand, there are extremely few references. And it is worrying if the only catalogue picture you find is differen...

Congrats on purchasing a LM

Louis is such a fantastic brand that is super underrated, their case, movement, and interesting materials makes them so unique and cool! Hopefully you will find the useful info soon!

Haven't purchased it yet...

But I mean as a very early series you can see the artisanship they are renowned for is not quite there. No anglage to speak of, for instance. It's still a very interesting piece though...

Lolz, can dig that!!

Very underrated brand (which may be a good thing for you). Well laid out dial, very smooth tonneau case (possibly a tad thick?). looks like a decent movement- i'm no expert but maybe a the triple calendar moonphase Valjoux 7753- maybe one of the experts h...

IMHO

I think it's a Valjoux 7751 with no display on the left where we should find a Petite seconde and 24h in the same subdial with 2 hands.

The finishing is somewhat basic given what they produce now...

I mean if it is the correct model, those would be one of the very first models that came out of the brand, and have really nothing to do with what it is now. I am all for pedigree, but I'm not sure whether this can be re-sold if need arises.
