Well done, always like it when a watch has a history even before on the wrist.

Garrick S4: My first English watch, and a sentimental one.

 By: Luis6 : January 15th, 2022-01:39
I've always wanted a British watch, as both my sons were born in the UK during my five years of study in the country. Precious times with beloved ones. So much fond memories there that we call Britain our second home. Roger Smith is kinda out of my reach,...

Congrats, very nice!

Thank you.

Not at all! I ordered a very stripped down S2.

One of the things that drew me to Garrick is all the metal work they do by hand. No laquer, no stamping, everything is milled, drilled, plated, polished or blued.

S2! Fantastic!

Looking forward to your unboxing. Glad you mentioned about Garrick’s metal work. I didn’t really noticed that until now 😅

I’m not surprised if they did discontinue the S4.

That engraving on the back looks absolutely amazing!

Perhaps even better than the engraving on an RWS? Very well done and an attractive design!

Thanks for the kind words.

RWS is at a different level, I think. But for its price, I think Garrick S4 offers A LOT😊

Works front band back..

…the impression of depth on the dial is impressive to me. Great colour choice all round. Congratulations, Enjoy!

You’ve made a very good observation about the depth of the dial.

It’s a multi-layer and multi piece construction.

Mesmerising! 👌

It really a lot of watch for the asking price.

 By: Luis6 : January 15th, 2022-08:28
Thank you, my old friend. 😊

De rien. My pleasure.

I do not know a lot about watchmaking in the UK, besides our famous Roger. Well done, it is a piece that I would love to wear. GEO

Roger is no doubt the epitome of British watchmaking, after Geroge Daniels.

What I love about Garrick is their philosophy of offering more options with affordability, as their co-founder David Brailsford said. With Garrick, we might not get the kind of superb finishing on RWS's watches, but I salute the same spirit.

gorgeous watch and photos!! I also like their

website that is very transparent on pricing and delivery times. Wear it in good health!

Indeed! They are very transparent and approachable.

 By: Luis6 : January 15th, 2022-23:49
There customer service and communication is superb, based on my own experience.

Yes, you do get a lot for the asking price, even the movement is just a Unitas 6498.

 By: Luis6 : January 15th, 2022-23:48
But the English style of decoration makes a whole diference.

My pleasure.
