Versatile and under the radar

I like this one a lot. Understated, very few who even know of it and so cool to look at, both at the dial and especially the movement side. ...

Well taken photo Richard!

Agreed.

I think the only gripe (if I had to list one), is that these unitas based movements are not as smooth to wind as I'd like them to be

That‘s true.

You really feel yourself feeding the energy into the barrel when winding. But somehow that might be seen as fitting the craftman’s way that Dirk employs when he builds his watches on old mechanical machinery. Best, Martin

Very cool indeed 👍

There is a big fan club in the Purists community here (with right). Wear yours in the best of health

“…and under radar”.

NOT to a purist, it isn’t!!! That ceramic dial and those sharp engine-turned numerals give it away. Beautiful piece. One of these, I’ll get one of their semi-translucent dials

Those definitely look great

Yes one of the hidden gems

Dornblueth watches have great character and offer true value for money. Wish indies like these get more visibility than some of the over hyped ones.

True

But that’s a double edged sword - more visibility means higher artificial prices in the current mad world

How big is this piece?

pretty decent size

And it’s gotten a lot of wrist time this past year. More than anything else in my small collection.
