This one maybe "jumps the shark" for me....

His time only watches are nice to look at, if not a bit expensive when considering that most Miyota-powered watches cost between $200 and $400.  This chronograph really does nothing for me.  Price is getting up into the range of some nice chronographs, and the date looks off to me given the design of the dial.  I like that such a talented watchmaker is releasing more affordable watches for those who cannot afford to pay the freight on his hand-made timepieces, but this one is a miss.  Having said that, given the hype he seems to have created, my guess is that they are all sold out within 2 hours of release.

Curious to see one in the metal one day - maybe I'll change my mind.

The date window is very unappealing and the price is too high for what they are offering. But it is a limited edition and I’m sure it will sell fast.

not my cup of tea [nt]

It's a Seiko chrono movement with a nice dial combo.

Honestly I miss the logic, or the mission if you prefer, ff this sub-brand. I have admired a genius like Journe when was able spread his vision of reaching a wider range of aficionados by creating the legendary Bleu, whose price tag was a bit above 10.000...

We MUST talk about watches

No matter the brand, the name, the heritage or whatsoever the reason. By an independent I usually expect more than a commercial movement (though excellent) ; AFAIK, no sign of modification. Am i wrong? A close friend is going to buy a spaceship (I can't s...

I don't see the issue with the pricing, but a lot of your perception will be based on your thoughts of Hajime Asaoka. Is he a watchmaker or a watch designer or both? If you happen to really like his aesthetic and you're not too bothered by the 14 mm thick...

Not my cup of tea and don’t understand the hype either
