LF Roll Call

 By: mrds : December 29th, 2020-03:23
There are some great Galets, Galet Squares, Montres d‘école in this forum. Micro rotors, tourbillons, manual wind movements. Dials in every color, stainless steel or rose gold pieces. All of them mesmerizing, all with their particular style. All beautiful...

Fantastic,

simply gorgeous! This may be my favorite LF. Have yet to see one in the metal but have been quite sure for some time that one day I will own a Laurent Ferrier. Cheers Marc

Thanks, Marc 🙏

Many different options from LF, and almost impossible to make a bad choice. Just a matter of taste. I do love the Boréal version with its stealthy cool look. But I‘m equally tempted by an elegant Galet classic, perhaps in rose or white gold. Or the new Op...

Daniel, my "Green" says hello ;-)

Love it. Enjoy yours ++++ ...

Super cool!

...

Love it!!

 By: mrds : December 29th, 2020-03:49
It takes a man with style to put this one on a Nato.

the "BOREAL" models are perfect for any "Le Mans" drivers

 By: patrickh : December 29th, 2020-03:55
as LF is. The reason he has done this version.

I think the brand is very under-rated for what it is, as much focus is on the sports/steel models at this juncture

 By: mahesh : December 29th, 2020-03:41
I enjoy one at the moment....the LF Galet Classique... in steel it is practical daily wearer yet understated ! the movement is well done, very refined & fills the case - i would very well say, the best micro-rotor movement in the market today ! Almost ove...

So classy!

 By: mrds : December 29th, 2020-03:48
Love the blue dialled Galet with its flowing lines. And then this Tourby.... you bring out the heavy metal here! Thanks for sharing these beauties, mahesh, and enjoy them some more!

Sorry my friend for the late entry, this beginning of year has been quite difficult

 By: Mike H : January 16th, 2021-14:39
Apart from my very busy planning at work I had to cope with some personal problems. As mod I was of course keeping an eye daily on the forum here but posting much less... But yes of course I'll post my Galet Tourbi with p^leasure

Your Galet Classic is simply a perfect daily wearer, excellent choice my friend

 By: Mike H : January 16th, 2021-13:34
And the Galet Tourbi is definitely great as well: under the radar, versatile, easy to wear in every circumstance, but gorgeous stunning, classy I never get tired of it. I hope for you you have one one day it is among my most loved watches as you know

Do not own one but yours is superb Daniel

Thank you Sir 🙏

.

It's interesting how people have criticized LF for working with Swiss manufacturers for various parts to LF design, while idolizing Philippe Dufour who does the very same thing.

 By: Spangles - Dr. Tabby : December 29th, 2020-08:46
In fact, PD's designs are based on a 1950's movement and so have less horological interest than an LF. Not to knock PD, but just to say that LF has suffered undue criticism.

Interesting point

 By: mrds : December 29th, 2020-08:53
I‘m not an expert on this at all, but I would think that everybody in the Swiss watch industry does rely on collaboration with external suppliers. Just from the way this industry is organized, I assume much of the innovation comes not from watch houses bu...

Yes, a lot of "in-house" is still done off-site behind the scenes.

 By: Spangles - Dr. Tabby : December 29th, 2020-11:04
The criticism is just something I've noticed in comments in various watch fora.

Sir your wish is my command

Strap for the Origin Classic Opaline

 By: camhawk : February 4th, 2021-12:37
Hi Sheen, beautiful piece, and looking into the same (as a first luxury watch and daily wearer). I notice the strap is a darker brown without the white/lighter sticking which appears on other photos I have seen. Is this the strap from the Green Opaline? M...

Very cool one.
