Thanks, actually found the perfect strap

On hermès website. Took a bit of searching but this 20*17mm Veau Barenia will fit perfectly! I might even leave it with the Hermès buckle smile Now the problem is that the strap will arrive much earlier than the watch smile

Hajime Asaoka Chronograph 1

Any purists getting this? ...

Not surprisingly, they are all sold out

 By: sham1 : May 1st, 2020-21:02
as only 68 pieces were issued in each dial. I was considering it but the 13.9mm case thickness put me off and instead I opted for the new Ming 27.01 which I know is a totally different watch and in fact almost 50 percent more expensive but its height is a...

Yup thin ming makes it versatile [nt]

No message body

I did exactly as you did.

 By: cholack : May 1st, 2020-23:04
However if the HA Chronograph was sans date I would have had a harder time to decide

+1! [nt]

Agreed

 By: sham1 : May 2nd, 2020-00:27
but the thickness would still have been a bother. I once had a Montblanc mono pusher chronograph with a gorgoeus Minerva movement and an autographed hinged back limited to 58 pieces but it was 13.8mm thick. I only kept the watch for 3 months.

Aah. In my experience thickness is ok

 By: Gelato Monster : May 2nd, 2020-01:33
As long as it is balance so that it won't tip often.

It is not so much the watch tipping

 By: sham1 : May 2nd, 2020-01:43
but more the fact that a thick watch is more likely not to fit underneath a shirt cuff or worse still catch something resulting in damage.

I am curious, which model is this?

Would you have any pics to share?

The Montblanc Villeret Grand Feu Enamel Chronograph

 By: sham1 : May 5th, 2020-20:14
The gorgeous dial The not so gorgeous thickness and the added hinged back does not help. ...

Thanks for sharing

 By: singingbee : May 6th, 2020-01:59
I know Robin has the black enamel dial WG case variant which is gorgeous. Is yours in rose gold? This is because I recently saw a NOS of the same watch but in WG case. Another gorgeous piece. I agree it’s abit thick but overall I feel it still feels very ...

Balanced it may be but

 By: sham1 : May 6th, 2020-03:07
a watch with a height of 13mm and above is more likely to catch things and one has to be ultra careful when wearing it. I prefer my watches in as mint condition as possible so I decided it was too stressful to keep the watch and I have since sold it. Yes ...

I agree totally!

 By: sham1 : May 6th, 2020-05:43
One of the reasons why I bought the watch apart from the astonishing 13.21 movement.

I agree... [nt]

Agree 100% [nt]

Congratulations Luca

I think the thickness add artistic element to this awesome watch. I am crazy in love with my JLC Tribute to Polaris, though it is. rather thick compare to my other watch.

Thanks mate, I went for the black because I liked more the dial, considering it less plain than the silver one...

 By: mywrongwrist : May 2nd, 2020-00:24
than I saw the pic below, and considered I could live with its thickness... not overwhelming as it may appear on paper... imho Let’s see... ...

went for the silver

 By: sebks : May 2nd, 2020-00:43
Found the « reverse panda » theme more original, thickness is a bit high but is partly driven by the glass... Overall i love the « retro with a twist” look and if you look closely there is quite a lot going on with the dial ( curved, steel studs, etc...) ...

Big congratulations

What if you start a request through here?. I will support and vote for no automatic no Chronograph. Perhaps Hajime Asaoka San would be kind listener and approve your appeal.

I would not dare challenge the master’s vision :)

I guess the text balances the logo to get some vertical symmetry... I don’t really like it but knew about it before buying... so I accept it

Totally agree

It is retro with minimalist detail accents. Very clean yet gorgeous chic

Congrats!!! more than lovely also with silver dial, already started the hunt for a good strap...

 By: mywrongwrist : May 2nd, 2020-03:00
or more than one... Hermes or Jean Rousseau... but now we have some time to think about... 😂😂😂

Would love to know more about Hermes

 By: sebks : May 2nd, 2020-03:23
Would you mind sending me an MP if you have a source / detail on ordering process ?

As easy as you can imagine, but you need to go to an Hermes boutique to place your order... NO way to make it through their website...

 By: mywrongwrist : May 2nd, 2020-04:07
while for what concerns Jean Rousseau you could go on their website, you’ll find amazing straps ready to order or in case go for a bespoke one... Hope this could help Ciao Luca

Thanks, actually found the perfect strap

On hermès website. Took a bit of searching but this 20*17mm Veau Barenia will fit perfectly! I might even leave it with the Hermès buckle Now the problem is that the strap will arrive much earlier than the watch ...

Why would you want to change the strap if it is the same black?

 By: Gelato Monster : May 2nd, 2020-05:25
Is the standard kurono not good? In what way?

It’s probably good...

 By: sebks : May 2nd, 2020-05:41
... but probably not as soft and refined as Hermès Barenia. Got a few leather accessories in barenia and that’s one of the best leather you can find... Small personal luxury that nobody will see but I’ll know about totally useless self indulgence but why ...

Aah ok

 By: Gelato Monster : May 2nd, 2020-07:42
I am sure Hermes strap would be superb quality. 👍👍

I didn’t get it

 By: mj23 : May 2nd, 2020-06:43
Due to the date and the thickness.

Nice, well-styled watch, but 38mm x 14mm is a big wearability fail in my book.

 By: vitalsigns : May 2nd, 2020-07:42
Could also do without the date and the "Automatic Chronograph" script, but the dimensions are the real disqualifier here. Cheers, John

i just checked my Heuer Autavia is 15.6mm, Heuer Monaco 15m, even JLC The Tribute to Polaris 1965 is 18mm [nt]

 By: Gelato Monster : May 3rd, 2020-00:16
I suppose it remains to be seen how it feels when it arrives. IMHO it will be very retro style chronograph dimension

super sexy plexy [nt]

Oh yes!

...

In my personal experience somehow it attracts more

 By: Gelato Monster : May 3rd, 2020-01:56
Interest than RM 😁, APRO, Daytona, Nautilus at the same table.

I agree with you.

The glass is adding unique and artistic design element
