My dream came true in an unexpected way

 By: Cookies : October 6th, 2021-13:59
In 2012 or so, I was admiring Speake-marin pieces on this forum. The “Foundation” hands were something different, with the hour hand looking like a heart. The lugs were radically different. The case shape was inspired by a watch holder he used when workin...

I have never seen this one

I, too, am in the market for a 38mm PSM from back when he was running the company. I didn’t know about the pierce brosnan movie. Which one is it? I’ll have to check it out Enjoy the Piccadilly, and wear it in good health

You must watch it

 By: Cookies : October 6th, 2021-20:08
The movie is called Survivor (2015). In this movie Brosnan plays the bad guy.

Speake Marin

What’s the movie PB plays a watchmaker? The man who introduced Omega as the only tru Bond watch. 😉my opinion. A little water to the wine, Rolex is also the only tru Bond watch. Nice to read your Speake Marin journey. I like the Speake Marin watches also, ...

What a cool PSM 👍

I totally share your enthusiasm and fully relate to your story. I remember Peter in Basel some years back now showing me some unpublished pics with Pierce Brosnan, we were both quite excited. So good memories…

Amazing memories

 By: Cookies : October 6th, 2021-20:12
It was an important chapter in watch history. Curiously, when this piece was posted on the market here, I believe not many people knew it’s true value. It was sold in a page where people buy and sell Rolexes and Omegas mostly. Have a great day Mike

I wish more moments like this comes

I particularly like Paul Gerber’s triple rotor watches, and some older designs from Sarpaneva.

U must watch it

 By: Cookies : October 6th, 2021-20:09
It’s called Survivor. Cool movie you will like it I believe so. Wow, an auction! I hope you win the bid!

Yes they said the explorer 1 is closest

 By: Cookies : October 7th, 2021-12:39
Closest to the version Ian Flemming wore himself.

Thanks Fab

It was a “too good to be true” moment which was true.

Simple and beautiful!

Enjoy it in good health!

=D

 By: Cookies : October 6th, 2021-20:17
Thank you. This piece will attract the right attention I believe so. Not many people know of this piece so it will escape attention from middle aged ladies at the butcher/market.

ROFL :)

Congratulations…

I also love the PSM from day one and was lucky to find a older model last year . My PSM says hi ...

Ooo

 By: Cookies : October 6th, 2021-20:15
Yours has the lumed hands. I think the Foundation hands are beautiful when lumed, especially the heart shaped hour hand.

I hope you find one too

 By: Cookies : October 6th, 2021-21:09
Esp the lumed hand versions. They look so cool in the dark. Or those with the curley hands too. It must be pre-2017, before he left the company. Then u will get the certificate with his signature hand signed on it.

Ah here it is

 By: Cookies : October 7th, 2021-03:16
It looks like a spinning widget. Very fun to fiddle with it. ...

Very cool indeed

Superb piece Mario

Jawdropping. You have a world class collection. Wish I can reach your level.

Congrats on this one.

 By: Jay (Eire) : October 7th, 2021-12:43
I recall the first time I saw one, mid 2000’s and a Paneristi friend of mine had just bought one having met Peter at some place or other and being completely sold on Peter and the watches. I recall meeting Peter at some point in the mid 2000s too but hone...

Sounds great, here it is

 By: Cookies : October 7th, 2021-13:15
17cm wrist I recall. This piece is a 38mm. I believe the 42mm piece will be too large for me. ...

Thanks. It’s helpful to see how the watch sits.

 By: Jay (Eire) : October 7th, 2021-18:18
Conclusion for me; too large. I have a smaller wrist than yours so even the smaller case (due to those lugs, which are a real feature of the watch) would be too much. I will continue to admire from a distance !

Luckily you’ve asked

 By: Cookies : October 8th, 2021-00:25
Yes the lugs flare out a lot.

You may need to turn yourself in with the Authorities for stealing this watch

Congrats on your amazing and highly economical find. My wife’s Serpent Calendar says hello. ...

I see Elmo shoes

And may I ask how can I sell or trade watch in Australia? It seems like people in AU rarely us chrono24. I'm moving to AU next month.
