Similar experience.

I had a very similar experience to you. I had seen, and was interested in, Urwerk for years, but in late 2019 I had the chance to actually try some on. As luck would have it, I also had the chance to visit with Felix during this visit where he would explain the concept behind the various pieces I was sampling. It was such a special experience. My appreciation of the brand in general and for the genius of Felix made a huge impression on me.

Fast forward two years, and I had acquired my first Urwerk. As others have mentioned, it’s a piece unlike any other in my collection, and it elicits my child-like excitement whenever I wear it.

Congratulations on your Uber cool 105, and also to all the other owners of the beautiful pieces in this thread. Here’s a few shots of my 100.

Urwerk - 25 years old this year.

Pretty crazy to think this year I believe marks Urwerk’s 25th anniversary. Urwerk was not on my radar 25 years ago; Rolex was the end game and all one could ever want in my mind ! It wasn’t until 2012 (I posted about this here before) on a trip to Singpao...

I love URWERK…

So different from any other brand. You know that feeling when you wear it. Happy to see them turning 25! ...

It's awesome.

The only other company which, in my mind, does modern design as innovatively and effectively is MB&F. With that said, I see Urwerk's designs as more pragmatic and practically wearable, so my preference leans towards their watches in the modernist cont...

I would agree Filip.

For my wrist there is perhaps only one HM from MB&F which I might be able to wear, for Urwerk however I feel most of their watches work for me.

I see you got the Owners lodge reminder😉

Here’s my two, 202 BPT and 110 ST. I am quite fond of both. Best, Jorge ...

It sure does Nicolas.

Every single one is a piece of art imho. Happy to have a 103T for many years now . ...

The 103T was actually that first Urwerk I put on my wrist (on that trip to SG I mentioned above).

You wear it well. And, it still looks as futuristic today as it did then.

Urwerk

has got to be my favourite brand. The audacity and nerve to continue to create timepieces so different and iconic puts them as one of the most important pioneers of modern watch design. ...

I like that strap, I have something similar on a another watch and actually thought about something like that for my 105.

I was trying to find an urban camo. Before the CT was launched I was seriously considering the TA. I must have tried it my wrist 6 or 7 times on visits to the AD.

That's truly awesome!

Design breakthrough is something lacking in watchmaking … fine finishing can be done with time and patient! Something uncommon like urwerk need courage To overcome the production difficulties and not think too much about market when you do !

I got the email too Chris. 😂

Not sure if I want to show a picture from 25 years ago!!! Others will differ on this opinion but yes, being bold in design is something that doesn’t always work with watches but when it does it’s very rewarding. And it’s far from a straight road. But Urwe...

Excellent pictures, thanks, Filip

I too have been lucky to meet both Martin and Felix, and that is part of the magic of the independents.

Child-like excitement is a great way to describe it, I’m with you on that. Love your iteration of the 100. It also seems very appropriate for the HS background.

I will add a RG 103 here….

I did not warm up to the design until few years later. Got mine in 2012. If I am adding another one, it will be either the 103 TiALN or 103T. ...

Sorry I missed this thread! Have been traveling...

Happy 25th - I joined the Urwerk world after seeing your many excellent and passionate posts!! UR-203 says hi to all of the Urwerk brethren - whom all probably say hi to all of the earthlings they've attached to Peter ...
