Love the Darwin Bronzo!

I have a collection of bronze and brass watches, about half of which I have forced patina using various methods: ammonia, different vinegars, and commerical aging solutions.

If you search my post history, you will see some of the pieces I've done.

Happy to discuss different methods, if you are interested!

If you are careful, it's hard to do irreparable damage, as most surface patina can be removed with lemon juice or commerical products like Noxon 9. Do understand you may not get the case back to 100% factory fresh, but if done properly, most of your effort can be cleaned up and started anew smile

I guess there is a fine balance between a nice patina and a stinky watch. Re Lovejoy, I seem to remember his fake tan having a nice bronze like patina as well.
