I dont necessarily dislike the 3rd lug, but it does make ordering after market straps a whole lot easier.

The last I heard and I have this on pretty good authority...

I think that a new strap can be modified. And i think manny watchmakers kan do it. I do such a work by myself. The movement is an open book. With the crown the spring can be wound.

There were one or two owners here, not sure if they are still active, but their pictures were enough for me to start chasing. Finally, thanks to a gracious rep in HK who asked one of her good clients if she could borrow his watch to show me, I saw one in ...
