Haha, yes, not exactly a great pairing for suit days. Although I have done it with my 105.

The new UR-120 “Spock”

 By: Jay (Eire) : October 4th, 2022-11:48
As Ronald alluded to yesterday, a new Urwerk was announced with a new take on the satellite display. You can see from the photos below that each satellite is now made of two pieces which come together to display the hour (as it moves along the minute trac...

Should the two ur-120 threads be merged? I ...

Really want to see this in the metal, although I will not be able to afford it.

So cool…

I wonder what the thickness is on it and with the gold accents could be used as a formal dress watch?

15.8mm

Anyisting of the total weight? (nt)

 By: Ronald Held : October 4th, 2022-17:53
NT

I didn’t see any reference to it.

The case is titanium and steel.

Can you ask your contact.. a

At Urwerk, when convenient?

Simply stunning

The readability is always better, ergonomic at its best.

Very, very cool indeed!!!

Just because you can...

...doesn't always mean you should...

On which evolution?

Not sure what you mean...but...

...splitting the number just makes things less reliable and slightly less legible. Neither good things.

Understand.

 By: Jay (Eire) : October 4th, 2022-19:21
I wasn’t sure if you were referring to the addition of lugs or the new satellites. They said the change was driven in part to improve legibility so I guess to see in the metal will be the test. Like you though, my first thought was “something else which m...

I like it, but I still prefer the 110.

 By: jp884 : October 4th, 2022-14:53
I’m sure this wears slimmer but I love my 110ST. It doesn’t feel large at all mainly because of the ergos and the titanium case as well as the day/night indicator, running seconds, and oil meter. But alas all things must evolve and this is the latest iter...

Agree

The 120 has a refinement that many will appreciate, but it's lost a bit of the character found in the 110 (to my eye, at least). The splitting satellite structure feels a bit fussy, though I do like the articulating lug design. Lovely 110!

Agree and agree some more!

 By: NickO : October 4th, 2022-19:05
The splitting satellites look fussy and unnecessary. The articulating lugs are cool. The 110 is still the URWERK to rule them all. NickO

I wonder if in person and “in action” they might please more.

 By: Jay (Eire) : October 4th, 2022-19:22
To be seen I guess. To me, this watch looks to be potentially more wearable (size/slimmer case, articulating lugs) and so that might be a good thing.

The 110 is a super comfortable watch especially on the kiska strap where the rubber molds to your wrist.

 By: jp884 : October 4th, 2022-19:53
So wearability is not really a factor, although this 120 will undoubtedly wear slimmer. But let's be honest I only wear my 110 with casual wear. So I'm not too concerned about it fitting under a shirt cuff.

Aside from the complication of the split hour cubes, the 120 does look pretty basic in comparison IMO.

 By: jp884 : October 5th, 2022-16:49
But maybe the price reflects that? Not sure what the MSRP is.

100k

 By: Cozmopak : October 5th, 2022-16:52

So a little cheaper than the 110.

 By: jp884 : October 5th, 2022-17:55
But I think you and I prefer the added complications on the 110.

Was honored to play with this amazing watch a few times during GWDs. Imho its a big step forwards in case of wearability then the 110 .

I really like it a lot and wish i could add one at some point. Amazing UR 👌🏻😘

You are confirming my main take away; more wearability.

 By: Jay (Eire) : October 4th, 2022-19:23
I’m excited to see it.

Wow! That's super complex! What a work of art!

 By: patrick_y : October 4th, 2022-16:22
My favorite Urwerk is still the 105 with a hood. Drool.

I love it.

 By: InHavenPro : October 4th, 2022-17:01
Amazing design. I believe that the lugs will improve the wearability/comfort of it! Thanks for the post. Cheers, Filip
