Which Habring2 to choose?

Hi All, I have decided to enter the world of the Independents and, after much deliberation, I am certain that I MUST acquire a Habring2. Beyond that, however, I am torn on which model to get! From a technical point and aesthetically speaking, my top choic...

Do you discount as a possibility...

...the new 'doppel' chrono? As you doubtless know, it has the triple advantage of being an unusual complication; one which Richard designed initially for a respected brand (IWC) before he and Maria went out alone and one which he has just now been able to...

Welcome.. :-)

I love Jumping Second, as you say, "pure". Ratrapante may be interesting, too, I agree. Do you prefer 42 or 37mm? If you have smaller wrist, I recommend 37mm... :-) Ken

the 42mm case as my collection hovers around 40-42mm. Pplater - As for the Doppel 2.0, I do like the complication and appreciate the history associated with Richard Habring. However, I am expecting a delivery of a un-yet released chronograph (not a rattra...

Yes, I do own a Jumping Second 36mm....

... the finish and accuracy are superb. The second hand stops at exactly at the minute track. The crown is just size for wining. The color combo, index, date window is my and their idea and love it! Totally usable and wearable for business and dress. I lo...

Why don't you submit your question directly to the Habrings. I am sure they will help guiding you in your choice or, better, take your time,, make an appointment, fly to Vienna with your family and plan your trip down to Volkermarkt. There, you will disco...

I second everything Ken said...

...about the accuracy and the perfect alignment of the seconds hand with the minute tracks. Also, you can talk to Richard and play with the colors of dial and hands: many rewarding possibilities await... Like you, I was worried that the movement of the fo...

That's tough....

I've got three Habring2s: simple chronograph (but not really that simple since it has a blue dial and a Carinthian movement decoration); a white dial/blue element COS and a white-dial, silver elements triple calendar / jumping seconds (I'm partial to moon...

It's a tough choice....

 By: Pulli : September 12th, 2012-12:57
The thing I see often with Habring2 is collectors torn between a lot of options on model and complications and then with the ability to have some choice of dial and finish within each model choice (with the exception of a few). The Triple Date moon with J...

A happy choice to have to make, Warren!

I've owned 3 watches from the Habrings (the Sincere LE Sport Chronograph, the original Chezard-based jump seconds, and now the Doppel 2.0), and am a big admirer of Richard and Christina, their products, and their brand. So, I can stronly endorse your bran...

Thanks to all who have provided guidance!

Clearly, the Habrings have a dedicated audience and I look forward to working with them. I have submitted my thoughts to the Habrings and will hopefully hear from them shorty. In the next few months I hope to be a proud owner and have the opportunity to p...

Tough choices!

They are all great options, and they make me desire to add another Habring watch to my collection. If it were me, I'd go for a handwind jumping seconds--maybe the triple-date moon version, but maybe (don't forget to ask about these options) just a version...
