A little different style with hour hands but what a cooool watch.  Mine is stainless steel 1 of 5, the simplest perpetual you will ever see, date goes forwards and backwards, the leap year indicator is an added function on the movement and the dial is to die for...Jim

Date wheel and month hand change within a hundredth of a second. It‘s always a pleasure to watch. Best Thomas ...

Thanks a lot, dear Chronometer!

Yes, indeed, Moser specializes in minimalism. Best Thomas ...

Hi Thomas..

Moser is an incredible company. I thought it was quite bold when they decided to sell some watches unbranded. Glad to see that you're enjoying yours and please share some pictures of the back if you have some. Really glad these haven't shot up in price as...

Hi Mike, yes I feel the same.

You really get much for your money. We have now three Mosers in the family. Here a pic from the back: Best Thomas ...

Thanks a lot, dear FabR!

And sorry for the bad photo quality. I just wanted to capture the change during midnight. Best Thomas

Very modern design but not only...

Actually a very smart PC mechanism, probably one of the only PC's (THE only one ?) where you can move the hands anti clockwise without damaging the movement. Also the small month indicator/hand is so smart I wonder why no other brand has ever thought abou...

Hi Mike, I’m pretty sure UN pc can also be adjusted in both directions and...

Certainly my ochs & junior perpetual calendar. Dirk

UN's perpetuals and those by Ochs and Junior were designed by Ludwig Oechslin and can be adjusted backwards. Those UN perpetuals go back over 20 years. My UN GMT +/-

can also be adjusted backwards. Pretty sure Ludwig designed that (modified ETA?) movement also. That Moser is gorgeous! And beautifully simple!

I confirm.

Thank you Mike!

Yes it’s called Moser Perpetual Purity. They made a special case for this LE (50 pieces). It’s 42 mm (instead of 40 mm). And indeed you cannot do anything wrong with the movement. You can move the hands at any time of the day in any direction. That’s pret...

You are so right.

 By: MTR : December 1st, 2020-13:18
And it‘s called „Purity“ which is also pretty fitting. Best Thomas

Hahahahaha

Did you make a video?

 By: dnlmpg : November 30th, 2020-17:21
Interested to see if both date and month hand jumped at the same time as the seconds hand hit 12

Yes I made a video. 😊

The light conditions weren’t ideal. But you can see how the month indicator and the date wheel move at the same time. In the pics you can see that this happened between 00:00:42 and 00:00:43.

Congrats, mIne says Hi...

Your pics are much better than mine. Especially the photo of the movement. Best Thomas

My favorite perpetual

Where did you obtain it?

I got the tipp from our Maltie.

 By: MTR : December 1st, 2020-13:29
He offered me his used Moser but was so kind to recommend me a dealer in USA when he noticed I preferred an unworn model. I had been on the hunt for this particular model for quite some time. Best Thomas

Thank you, dear Nico.

„Less is more“ begins to develop into my life motto... ...

Yes, that is a great theme.

And definitely

most suitable in these times.

Magnificent watch, really

 By: Artoxares : December 1st, 2020-00:41
Just one practical question: do you struggle sometimes to know the precise hour in the absence of markers? Best Nicolas

Thank you Nicolas,

 By: MTR : December 1st, 2020-13:36
no. I never had a problem to read the time exactly. You must not forget that we watch nerds have all developed a very fine sensorium when we look at the dial of a watch. ;-) ...

Such a impressive and good looking Moser

You are too kind!

Thanks a lot!! Best Thomas ...

I'm confused. If this is a perpetual where is the year displayed? Looked on their site and did see a wheel on the back that repeats 3-2-1 three times which I also don't understand. I do see

 By: InDebtButOnTime : December 1st, 2020-09:12
a very short hand on the dial which I assume is the month indicator, the date at 3 and a power reserve at 9. Running seconds at 6. Right? .... but where is the year? Wait... the 3-2-1 wheel has something to do with leap year! Basically it's a perpetually ...

You are right.

I would like to mention that the PR is 7 (I personally observed. 8 days!). I don’t wear the same watch all the time and so it is very helpful to leave the Perpetual Calendar for a week without needing to adjust everything again after this pause. L The lea...

Yes, of course!

But the lovely dial is also very hard to capture.
