Captivating

Thank you for taking the time to sort and post all of these amazing photos. The independent brands need to be seen and handled to be properly appreciated, and your photos have conveyed their allure very well! The urwerk pieces under embargo have me very intrigued, although the photos of the 210 just make me want to track one down even moreso.

I particularly enjoyed see your minimalist shoes (vibram perhaps?) pop up in one photo; although I can't imagine wearing a bovet whilst out for a jog.

Best,

Colton

I started a thread a few days ago asking if anyone was going or had any questions regarding the Independents showing at Geneva. I published the agenda I had in regards to seeing and speaking with several while there. You can see the list in the other thre...

Not sure yet but will try for next week if I can. Paris is a code red so my wife is not too happy about that either ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™‚๏ธ

...the FB watches are sublime. I give them a pass on thickness because of the type of movement and the astonishing level of finishing. Not usually Moser guy but I kind of like the first one with the engraved bezel...the size looks perfect and the 'old sch...

Actually the Ferdinand Berthoud watches were not as thick as you would think, especially on the wrist...

I wore my Lange Pour Le Merite especially to see the difference and yes the Lange was thinner in profile but it is also smaller in diameter so the ratio of case diameter to thickness was pretty close ๐Ÿ˜‰

I think one just has to have the wrist to pull if off...

...at 7.25" I think I could. Yes, ratios are important. Now there's just the small matter of settling the bill : )

My wrist is around 6.5 - 6.6" and I could pull it off even though it looks large. So yours at 7.25" is more than adequate...

I think, you sould have done different posts by brands. Purists may have a lot to say about your stunning reportage. I like the Debethune word time. How does it work? Where did you upload the video of the MB&F?

I thought about doing it by brand but chose to group them together so everyone could enjoy all the photos...

The De Bethune worldtimer is actually one of their most complicated movements. You can see and read about it on their site. As for videos Yohann, I can send a few of them to you directly on WhatsApp as I cannot load them on the site ๐Ÿ‘

Let's just say, orders were placed and future projects well noted dear doctor ๐Ÿ˜‰

Indies are my passion and i wish i was able to attend this event (unfortunately i just came back from Spain and had to do a quarantine for 10 days first so impossible to be there ) but this great post and pics gave me the idea i was there for a moment ๐Ÿค—. ...

Sad to hear about your quarantine but I fear it is happening everywhere. When I was in Geneva I saw that Switzerland had a list of around 60 countries that would require a quarantine...

Any impressions on the new Berthoud compared to the older models? Those MB&F clocks look so cool, very intrigued about the Chopard crystal minute repeater as well!

The new model wore very much like a contemporary watch so much easier for the masses than the octogonale shape of the previous models...

if you look at my wristshots, you can get an idea how they wear. If I were to get one, I would probably lean towards a white gold with black enamel dial since the black dial would also make the watch look a tiny bit smaller. My wrist is around 16.5cm + or...
