Three years ago, meet a friend at his
workshop. But this day, the trip is faster than expected and I go to a brewery
where all its employees are present. As usual, a cheerful atmosphere prevails.
Next to me is a young man I don't know. But he worked with him several years
ago to create a box or case for an emblematic watch. Bastien invites me to join
him in his workshop where I discover his creations. Realizations of dial in
marquetry for some brands such as Parmigiani, Vacheron and its watch project.
Back this summer, in this region where
a large number of craftsmen are working for this sector that has been driving
us for several centuries.
Pleasure to meet again Mr. Chevalier,
who reminds me of his career with his master who himself learned this profession
in the great art marquetry house Spindler.
His workshop on the ground floor smells like wood species. Many trays
filled with tiny pieces of wood wait for the master to assemble them in order
to create a new dial that will be unique. The tranquility of the place is
reinforced by a cat who wanders between all its parts binoculars and machines
on long benches.
Another finalized project that I
discover is a watch that he made with a watchmaker friend. Stainless steel box,
openwork horns with the most beautiful effect.
The movement on a Peseux 7001 base has been completely reworked.
Obviously the work of the dials is exceptional and unique for each watch. All
customizations are possible according to the requests in order to harmonize the
whole.
If
you want a unique watch, Bastien Chevalier will develop all your dial desires
in the noble art of colour, and design.

Pour la technique, la montre est équipée d’un mouvement Peseux 7001 produit par Eta, entièrement retouché, platine, ponts et train de rouage refaits, mais avec l’avantage d’un service après-vente assuré pour longtemps sur ce calibre tracteur.
