Then let the pictures speak smile

Let me introduce you the French independent Florent Lecomte. This is his first series of 10 watches and I got the number 1.
The base movement is a unitas but as you can see it is completely modified, in fact kudos to those that still recognize the Unitas smile
I love it, the looks, the finishing, the very low production

Looks nice

I’ll ask him to create an account here

He can give more answers and details 😁

Interesting watch. I'm probably in the minority here but I would much prefer an easy to get movement in a startup like this than a completely in house one.

So this is a pretty safe purchase. If they can't survive you will still be able to get it worked on somewhere. Enjoy your rather unique watch.

Agreed

Same here. Strongly prefer it when going with an independent.

Ah. I read it as you would preffer it to be one as you said ,"like this ... completely in house [movement]. "

 By: BigFatPauli : November 13th, 2020-12:12
To me, that indicates that is watch has a completely in house movement.

I have tried but

I cannot find much information on this watchmaker. What size is this watch? Looks great and you are lucky to get number one! All sold out I believe.

41 mm

As I answered on a previous post, I’ll ask him to join this conversation

I was sure that No1 is yours! Congratulations!

I saw the post with the back plate of your watch on Florent's Instagram account I am waiting for my 10/10 next week. It looks great! R

Is the buckle also branded?

 By: radone : November 13th, 2020-08:56

No

 By: Bruno.M1 : November 13th, 2020-09:03
The strap is Camille Fournet, so very good quality but no name or logo on the buckle

😁

I’m sure you’ll enjoy it !

A thousand words cannot describe the beauty of this watch my friend

At first glance

I thought it is a Greubel Forsey or MB&F watch. Very nice, very niche, the hand finishing is recognisable from the irregularity of the finish, mainly at the little dial. The Unitas movement is also clear from the backside of the watch...

Way cool, Bruno!

I have been following his progress on IG for a while now, you have a winner there!

Very,very nice

Wow

 By: Jurry : November 13th, 2020-11:40
I’m unfamiliar with the brand but wow what a dial

I was thinking the same...."Haven't I seen this before?".

 By: Jay (Eire) : November 13th, 2020-14:08
That said, I do like the design and what I see. I am curious to learn more about the details. The dial, the negative space and the choice of colour, immediately makes me think of another watchmaker. That may be good or bad depending on the buyer's view. I...

Rémy Cools and Theo Auffret come to my mind

 By: Bruno.M1 : November 13th, 2020-14:35
These 2 made magnificent pieces. Only thing I like a bit less... botjh made a tourbillon. And while this is cool to see... unfortunately it makes the price unnecessary high. Rémy got his education in a well know watch school in Morteau, France From his si...

Ah! Thank you!

 By: Spangles - Dr. Tabby : November 13th, 2020-14:48

And Theo Auffret came form the same highly regarded school

 By: Bruno.M1 : November 14th, 2020-01:55
From the monochrome website.. ...

Wow!

 By: BMR : November 13th, 2020-14:19
I really like this! Huge congratulations to you!

The gold frosted dial has really caught on huh

Congrats and wear in good health

Very attractive piece

 By: Cozmopak : November 13th, 2020-19:50
I do believe his next watch will be an in-house project with a smaller case

Spectacular new indie.

 By: SiNzz : November 14th, 2020-14:48
Do you mind sharing the price range?

That’s a stunning watch Bruno 💥
