I like it...but what's with the middle-of-the-road hardware?

The Big Bang's secret sauce lies in the case, which was just as true in 2005 when the original version came with a re-worked 7750 movement. Really like the design of this watch, obviously and I could see it being a fun watch to wear. Just as we can make an exception to Bang & Olufsen not producing the best sound, I can appreciate the Big Bang E, despite its run-of-the-mill processing and power capacity.
From 9To5Google:
"Under the hood, there’s also a Snapdragon Wear 3100 processor, 1GB of RAM, and 8GB of storage — a pretty standard Wear OS package in 2020. A bit out of the ordinary, though, is the lack of both GPS and NFC, the latter a killer for those invested in Google Pay. The battery inside is also only 300 mAh with only an estimate of a single day."
Such editorializing is going to be harmful to these luxury smart-watches, as they suggest the client is still being hoodwinked on the tech component, which is the objective metric by which premium smartwatches are assessed. Luxury products are supposed to present an additional emotional feeling above and beyond the quality offered by the less expensive premium products, so they can break free of the rules of premium good pricing. After some consideration, I understand why luxury smart products don't automatically get the most up-to-date electronics. Though I empathize with the challenge of producing a low volume product and having to source bleeding edge batteries, processors and displays, I still hope this will change because specs are part of the emotional equation of a tech purchase. I think it is something LVMH can address, if they want to bring in clients who already collect luxury timepieces, but are not interested in the smart equivalent.

The case and the lugs of the LV combine into an interesting form factor, one that conveys that the wearer has daring tastes. Though both watches are very fashionable, the Big Bang is a much more conservative watch. If you are gifting a close friend a luxu...
