Report of the Hublot Place Vendôme event the 21st of June

Jun 22, 2018,14:51 PM

The Hublot boutique of the Place Vendôme reopened a few weeks ago after several days of renovation works. To be frank, I didn't have the feeling that the boutique was really needing these works. But, in the context of the World Cup (in which Hublot is highly involved), the brand wished to inject its latest architectural principles in order that the boutique meets 100% of the image requirements.

The aim of the event was to celebrate the reopening but not only. A strong focus was made on the partnership with Richard Orlinski and the guests were very fortunate to enjoy the party food created by another friend of the brand, the Michelin 3 star chef, Yannick Alléno. So ready to accompany me during this evening event which took place yesterday in the patio by the Hublot boutique?

Wild Kong was welcoming the guests. Actually, the Richard Orlinski's sculpture was set up by the boutique entrance in the context of a treasure hunt organized by the boutique and the Gallery Richard Orlinski. Contestants should guess the location in where the sculpture would be placed (I don't write: hidden!). The first person who was guessing this location was rewarded by a Wild Kong sculpture... but hopefully with a smaller size!

The sun was shining on the Place Vendôme... a good sign for the bright future of the boutique!

The event started with the ribbon cutting ceremony featuring Yannick Alléno, Ricardo Guadalupe and Richard Orlinski.

The Hublot boutique on the Place Vendôme was officially reopened!

Then the guests moved to the patio to discover a beautiful scenery surrounded by Richard Orlinski's sculptures. Wild Kong was one of the stars of the event!

He came with his brothers and sisters:

The central display was gathering 3 Hublot Classic Fusion Aerofusion Richard Orlinski:

This gentleman was wearing one of my fav Hublot ever: the skeleton version  of the Classic Fusion. I know it is not a "pure skeleton" since the movement is created this way. But the very contemporary design of the dial perfectly fits the spirit of the brand and the case. A true winner from Hublot.

Another beauty is the Hublot Classic Fusion Aerofusion Moonphase. Once again, the dial enhances the contemporary touch of the watch. To be frank, the windows and date are not very legible but the watch is appealing, especially with the pink gold case.

Ricardo Guadalupe, Richard Orlinski, Yannick Alléno and Bernard Montiel:

Have you ever attended a party in which a three star chef was preparing the dishes for the guests just in front of you? For me, it was the first time...

Delicious!

And obviously, Yannick Alléno was wearing the right watch!

A party without music is not a true party!

A French journalist was wearing this Hublot Atelier dedicated to the World Cup 2014. This rare watch was actually the pass to access the Hublot booth in Brazil. Wow!

I had the feeling to be in an Easter party but I was wrong! The party took place during the first day of Summer!

The lucky winners of the Treasure Hunt were awarded with a lovely prize: a blue Wild Kong sculpture signed by Richard Orlinski yesterday.

Then Ricardo Guadalupe did his speech highlighting the presence of Hublot on the French market and the role of the Place Vendôme boutique.

One of the guests was wearing this King Power F1. Funny detail: this specific watch was the first ever sold by the Hublot Place Vendôme boutique several years ago when it was inaugurated.

Another guest lent me his Meca-10. This watch is one of the most convincing Hublot of the last years thanks to the movement lay-out which also decorates the front side.

With Marie from the Hublot team, who did a great work in the organization of the event:

I was happy to meet Richard Orlinski:

Richard was wearing the Classic Fusion Aerofusion Richard Orlinski in titanium. This watch is really amazing. For me, it is the best collaboration with an artist (I also like a lot the Sang Bleu watches) because it is at the same time very Orlinski... and very Hublot. Two separate worlds collide to create this original yet elegant watch.

An overview of the end of the party:

With the boss!

But I was not leaving the event... without tasting the dessert!

Time was coming to go back home. The Place Vendôme was more beautiful than ever:

But, before catching my cab, I visited the boutique to spend the last minutes with the night owls.

Coralie, from the Hublot team and myself love to stroke the Orlinski's crocodiles!

The lay-out of the boutique remained the same after the renovation work but I could appreciate a lot of new details like the impressive painting and the Orlinski's sculptures. They removed the baby-foot for the event.

The blue ceramic version of the Classic Fusion Aerofusion Orlinski:

I do hope that you will enjoy this set up!!! Not my usual wristshot...

This last picture is the perfect summary of the event. It was a very successful and fun party thanks to the great organization by the Hublot team. The guests enjoyed it a lot and the Yannick Alléno's touch was highly appreciated. I wish the best for the staff of the Place Vendôme boutique.
