Hublot Deployant Buckle Clasp comfort solution
I thought I would post about my issues with the Hublot Deployant clasp that came with my Hublot Spirit of Big Bang Titanium Ceramic. I love the watch but the Deployant Clasp/buckle was extremely uncomfortable leaving marks on the skin. I searched throught the internet and it appears that I am not alone in this predicament.
Some suggested a band-aid. I even tried that but it didn't change much as the metal in the old style clasp is sharp as a knife and would even but through the band-aid. Actually it was not just about sharpness but also the overall construction that made it just awful.
I thought that the new models with the quick change claps might have sorted this, at least for me, very big issue. I asked the Hublot boutique to order the new model that is in Titanium and, as I hoped, is much more refined:
As you can see the sharp angles are now rounded and the piece that gets in touch with your skin seems smaller and with a better finish.I also like the cearmic on the buckle.
Depending on the pressure and how you wear the watch there might still be some marks but nothign compared to the previous clasp. So I highly recommend the newer models, worth every peanny. The clasp for the quick change system can be adapted for older models like mine and all works very well. It might also be that titanium is a better /lighter material but to me it seems also different in terms of construction.
Since the watch is in titanium it fits even better than the stainless steel that came with the watch.
Finally I can fully enjoy the Spirit of Big Bang

I have a Hublot Sang Bleu which is giving me marks on my wrist after an hour of wrist wear and starts itching after 2. Hope the new buckle is considerably better.
the new buckle is better but you still feel it :)
not sure which buckle the Sang Bleu has but if is the square model as above the new one should be a big improvement. Much depends also on how tight you set it. Frankly I think the best luck would be for big bang unico owners to get the velcro strap 😁 from...
