Hublot kicked off its week of Hublot Loves Art celebrations in Miami with a cocktail reception at the Hublot Bal Harbour Boutique honoring its latest partner in the art world, Tristan Eaton, where the Classic Fusion Aerofusion Special Edition Concrete Jungle timepiece was presented in Miami for the first time.

Hublot’s collaboration timepiece with Tristan Eaton was first introduced earlier this month in New York City, titled “Concrete Jungle;” the brand’s first watch made with real elements of concrete. Here in Miami, media and friends of the brand had the opportunity to view the piece and the new works from Tristan, Mystic Mystic (2016) and Kiss My Assassin (2016), as well as meet the artist and Hublot of America Managing Director Jean-François Sberro. While in Miami, Tristan is also painting a large scale mural for the Miami Dolphins’ newly remodeled Hard Rock Stadium, further solidifying his commitment to the city.

The Classic Fusion Aerofusion Concrete Jungle features a skeletonized dial in an urbane tone on tone design. The artist’s logo is integrated at 3 o’clock and features a chronograph to track precious time in the city. The watch’s case back features Eaton’s signature collage technique that creates a colorful motif of the Statue of Liberty, named Liberty (2016).

The subject was first explored in Eaton’s original piece, Liberty, painted in September of 2012 at the corner of Mulberry Street and Canal Street in New York City's Little Italy neighborhood. Liberty serves as a perfect example of how Eaton’s works incorporate the “Art of Fusion,” an important aspect to Hublot’s brand identity.

Jean-François Sberro, Managing Director, Hublot of America, commented, “We are excited to reveal our Concrete Jungle timepiece here in Miami. While this watch pays tribute to New York City, we felt excited to show off our latest collaboration to Miami’s talented art and design community as we are confident that local residents will be just as inspired by its beauty. Most importantly, this watch showcases yet another ‘first, different, and unique’ element for Hublot – our first ever timepiece created with real concrete.”

Tristan Eaton, street artist and muralist, shared, “When I left New York, one of the things I left behind was this five story mural of the Statue of Liberty at Canal Street and Mulberry, which I wanted to paint because I was so scared of New York forgetting I was ever there. When Jean-Francois got to know me, he knew this was very symbolic so he asked me to recreate the Statue of Liberty in an exclusive way for Hublot. This is definitely the craziest collaboration I’ve ever done. The watch is a love letter to the city that made me who I am. It’s really an honor to have my art elevated to the quality of the craftsmanship that you see here on this watch. For Hublot to say my art was worthy of this is a big deal.”

The “Concrete Jungle” Classic Fusion Aerofusion timepiece is limited to 50 pieces, available for purchase at Hublot boutiques for $19,500.

That bezel looks great! A very distinctive industrial feeling.

I think it looks great... I want to see what the concrete looks like in real!

I think you will be able to order through other boutiques too Sascha. Cheers Andrew

I love the look of the watch, but dislike the artist's logo being so prominent on the dial

Looks like he was given plenty of recognition the caseback.
