the dial,does have some texture to it. Of all of my vintage pieces this one is definitely my favorite, and I have have several nice ones. This one and another run as well as any of my modern pieces.
My wife’s grandfather

1949, she bought it used from the dentist she worked for, couldn't have been but probably a year or two old when she got it. 76+ years old and runs like a new watch, accuracy is amazing,
