Regarding your future Panerai purchases ... All references you mention are very interesting specially for your dials. I own the 687, 587 and 791. They have different dials and personalities.

I would say the most important for me is the 587. It has the Marina Militare inscription on dial which is very important for a Panerai collector I feel. I also have an special attachment/love for this piece as per the story of how I got it in Paris in 2014 after a long hunting. But again: it is my personal feeling is that any Panerai with an MM inscription on its dial is of speecial interest for a Panerai collector.

The 687: This watch has a very stunning dial, one of the most stunning Panerai dials I feel. Also the bezel with inscriptions makes this watch very interesting to own. I donΒ΄t have the 685 which is basically the same watch but with a more "quiet" black dial in case you feel the gradient 687 is too much for your taste.

The 791 is also a Pam with a dial I love so much. It shares the case with the MM 587 but the dial is really something with its creamy/ivory dial with bronze accent rings  on its minute track and hour markers. This watch also has a "brother" with a black dial, but I felt the ivory one is the most beautiful to my eyes.

Looks like youΒ΄ll have a very exciting Panerai hunting year 2023 with those references in your sights! Good luck my dear friend!

Have an excelent New Year 2023 full of Peace and Good Health for you and your beloved ones my dear friend Yacomino!
Cheers! Abel
