However mine for vacations this summer was not a Rolex or a Patek or anything expensive but a Gorilla Fastback Mirage inspired from gulf racing colours . It went places and to my surprise withstood all the abuse I tried to put the watch in. Rafting , roller coaster rides to snorkelling and rain and what not...simply impressive and a very care free experience and loved & admired it every single moment I glanced It. It really grew on me ...

I, on the other hand have not been so wise. My Patek 3940 has been all over U.S.A, London, Rome , Paris, Berlin, Geneva,Morocco Montreal and Toronto. I keep forgetting to take it off before I leave my home in Los Angeles.I love the watch, and still use it...

I usually carry two to three pieces and worry about in room locker safety in hotels etc..
