So fun! I'm a big fan of thinking of watches in pairs...
A two watch dress and sport collection is something I strive for.... but then I need back-ups if either are out for service so that becomes 2 2 watch collections... and then I still want to experience new things so 
I also like to think of experiencing brands in two watches - maybe basic and complication (e.g. FPJ CS & Tourbillon), dress and sport (e.g. JLC EL2 & Duometre), classic styles (e.g. JLC Reverso & Master Moon), or classic vs modern (e.g. AP RO Jumbo & ROO Concept). Of course, doing everything in pairs gets expensive....

Hello fellow WIS. I have been toying with an idea of a two-watch collection . Of course, being a WIS with dozen of watches, i can"t see myself doing that (at least for now). But it is fun to imagine what its like and which watches will be chosen. So start...

Often contemplating , when they are pushed to have only 2 watches, it is interesting to know what and why they choose specific watches. Lets play
Forgot to say, why 2 watches? Because generally most of people only need 2 watches in their life :
A Daily watch (robust, practical, can be water proof) and a dress watch (elegant, stylish).
Great post! It's just not possible for me, unfortunately.
In trying to simplify my watch collection, i just added another 5 watches - 4 vintage POP swatches and a swatch clear
I have tried to keep 80% of the additions affordable...
... and then buy 1-2 keepers per year. If I can't kick the habit, hopefully I can control it.
I believe a two watch collection would be possible
But maybe not this pairing ha ha I do like the titanium speedy specially on the bracelet 👍
Yes, i also don't think it is an ideal 2 watch collection (see the last sentences)

You are right. I also think that 2 watches is not enough when one of them get serviced
So yes, the ideal would be 4.
