Tudor 58 or Tudor GMT

Jul 19, 2018,15:05 PM

Deciding on this two... to be honest I never own a Tudor. I haven’t seen in the flesh and I prefer bracelet and it is also within my budget. Need your honest opinions or votes. Of course I always buy what I like but this one is difficult to decide. Between I can’t afford 2 at one go!

The 58 without a doubt

The GMT looks to much like a cheap ripoff of the Rolex imo. The 58 however stand on its own merits and looks like a cool watch from yesteryears. Perfect case size, etc. But in the end it is all about what speaks to you the most.

+1

Prefer the 58 too. Best, Thomas

Both are great choices. You cannot go wrong. Owning both is a reasonable solution, given their price. Now, if only one...

I would say the GMT. Which is incredibly charming. And friendly! Best, Nicolas

Both are appealing. I got the GMT. As for the 58, I have a feeling that at BW2019, Tudor will present another variation of the 58, perhaps sans gilt bezel numbers, indices & hands &

maybe even non-patina-ed hands, so unless you favor the gilt, this may be another reason to start with the GMT and see where Tudor takes the 58. The pleasing 39mm case diam and thinner case thickness of the thinner 58 movement will certainly be exploited ...

If u already have a Sub but do not have a GMT, then..

Then go for Tudor GMT, No Sub but u have a GMT of other makes, then u can go for BB58. If u have neither a Rolex Sub or GMT, god bless, and buy both the Tudor GMT and BB58. Personally, I would go for the BB58 cos it’s dissimilar to other Rolex models. Che...

Same same but if we scrutinize a lot of difference.

But, i agree it's a different look than the Rolex, less polished surfaces and many small changes, although they are cousins for sure.

Slimmer and also smaller in size. Tudor Black bay watches are quite chunky and thick so the 58 is a welcome addition at 39mm instead of 41mm and has a thinner case.

Just picked up my Black Bay 58 earlier this week

and I am very pleased with it. Regards Kev.

I will go for the GMT

And with regard to the new Rolex GMT, the Tudor is for me the one to get. The new Rolex GMT is again a bulkier version of the past. The Tudor GMT looks finer and better in my opinion.

GMT
