I like them uber dry, so just a smattering of vermouth:

 By: nomadgiles : November 24th, 2018-11:18
In a chilled martini glass, add vermouth. Swirl the vermouth around to coat the inside of the glass and discard the vermouth. In a cocktail shaker packed with ice, add gin, shake vigorously and pour into glass. Add olives on a stick (some like a twist of ...

 By: nomadgiles : December 30th, 2018-13:30
Hendricks is very fine - and do I spot a bottle of Corum? - also very nice. Avoid beefeater unless in a strong mixer - itโ€™s the Bells of the gin world. Slainte!

Ps - thereโ€™s a few favourites rarely seen in bars:

 By: nomadgiles : December 30th, 2018-13:44
1) NB Navy - strong & salty - makes a very interesting martini with twist of orange peel. 2) Opihr Indian spiced - great with a dry tonic & grapefruit peel / slice, or fresh fennel leaf frond. 3) Hibernation 45% - distilled in Wales & matured in white...

these are the brands they carry , i think it s a great choice comparing to other places in my

I will be at home with some fine Barolo and a new love interest is coming to stay ๐Ÿ˜Š

A dry Martini (i.e. no Vermouth) is a wondrous thing.

 By: nomadgiles : November 25th, 2018-06:07
A Singapore Sling when I do visit ๐Ÿ˜‰

Singapore Sling is over rated. You have to get it at raffles Long Bar if it is still operating.
