The strap is of high importance to me also, both from a comfort and appearance standpoint. Fortunately, I think watch brands have recognized this fact and are spending more time coming up with interesting straps.

The wrong strap will just kill the watch😂. Having said that, since swapping the straps is an easy maneuver (most of the time), whatever strap that comes with a watch does not materially affect my watch purchase decision.
