The secrets behind the dial

There are 2 types of subcontractors:
Those that are used to "cut costs" they make  everything cheaper. for example? a Plastic / Nylon cover for a car dashboard to make it look like a genuine wood Jag dash.
The 2nd are those that have expertise in what they do, and its not always cheaper, but its better,   Take a Ducati Panigale V4 S, a Ransoto muffler will only upgrade it.

This exists in almost any industry, also in watches. There are dial makers for watches that specialize in engraving or delicate enamel paintings.

Andre Martinez specializes in dial decoration, and makes the dials for models that costs 6 figures from well known companies like Bregute, GRUBEL FORSEY. Chopard , Van Cleef and more. Here are some of his works in the last 25 years.

When I buy a watch, its not always the "look", but the quality that behind it is important as well and often a 20'000$ watch will represent a much better quality then a "markting"  creature that costs 3 times more.  And for that you sometimes have to dig deep smile. part of the fun.

Have a great weekend my friends.
