It's always 'haunting' when a watch follows you around like this.
I too do not wear dress watches all that much... and little by little sold virtually all of my dress watches... but this watch.... it's just one of a kind.
This may be the first watch that drives me to a custom strap, because, while the Journe strap is very appropriate, it can still be improved on. A little thicker and less squared off, I think--and I might even dare to make it white-cream... with deep blue stitching... or some variant of this notion...I think the Tantalum will really come across. This watch has a happiness... a joie de vivre.... so a fine, but more causal strap might release even more joy.
there's so much to love about this watch, and I will probably encourage it to be worn on the casual side... it's just who I am.
But you are talking to a guy who wore a Patek 3940 with jeans/ cargo shorts for a whole year... and traveled in the winter to Montreal with it under a big fat coat!
This Journe will be seen with untucked shirts... and casual shoes on a regular basis.
I realize this is the 'intention' of the watch. It is being represented a s a more casual Journe... I don't believe much in any type of marketing language.. but in this case, that much is true for me.
I think this watch is great way to step slowly into the Journe swimming pool... but the water become very fine all to quickly. I would love to add a black CS and Centigraphe...
The disease progresses... I have a feeling it's going to be dress watches worn casually in the future... something so deeply satisfying about a good, good dress watch with some casual aspect to it...
Ok, rambling again!
Thanks for the kind words and excellent photo.
I'd like to add again that the watch benefits perhaps like no other I've ever seen, by seeing in person... a marvel!
