Horological Meandering

Some pictures of the Breitling Superocean.

Breitling has changed significantly under the new leadership of Georges Kern.
Gone are the days of the macho-type,hugely oversized and bling-bling watches while existing model lines, like the Superocean, have been cleaned up.
The Superocean is a no-nonsense dive watch,build like a tank,with impeccable quality...and at a reasonable price point.

I went for the 44mm version with a 1000m WR rating. It wears very nicely due to it's short and curved lugs and with a height of less than 15mm.

The NATO is very nice and is made out of recycled nylon.

I do like the khaki/military green color which is a welcome alternative to all the usual black and blue dials.
Some nice details, like the yellow tip of the seconds hand.

This is a serious diver,so it has plenty of lume.

Overall a great offer from Breitling. If you can live (I can) with the ETA movement, then, quality wise, this is a serious alternative to the likes of Omega,Tudor,....
This will for sure be one of my favorites for the summer!

Thanks for looking,
Gerard
