I find it hard to believe that this "green dial" movement was expertly planned 5 years or even 10 years ago by the Maisons.

Could it be that this was planned...one year ago? Or, is this the entire industry's reaction and planning following the introduction and popularity of Rolex's Kermit and green models?

Really intrigued by this. I'm sure every company has a "pipeline" so to speak on the basis of innovations in terms of movements and materials, but dials I assume can be more seasonal in nature.

As some others have pointed out, this year in particular has been a pretty special year for green. Maybe it's symbolic of a fresh start and revitalisation worldwide - but it's pretty incredible how so many companies have joined the green scheme with such ...

Shrug... what else is there? Yellow? Gotta be green. Not a conspiracy, just the obvious next novelty... a color you can live with if not 'too green', which most of these are not... there's only a few colors people can 'stand', after black, silver, off-whi...
